How do you get HPV?
HPV (human papiloma virus) is highly contagious and can be acquired in a single exposure. The virus installs itself in the human cells during the sexual act or in the contact with infected skin or objects. It is estimated that about 80% of the sexually active population comes into contact with one or more types of human papillomavirus (HPV) during life. According to the WHO, there are 114 million sexual relations daily and 356 thousand new genital infections per day being the most frequent human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.
